1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to ReferBid (accessible at referbid.online). By creating an account, browsing mentorship slots, placing bids, or offering mentorship services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"), alongside our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy. If you do not accept these terms, you must refrain from using the platform.

2. Nature of Services: Peer Mentorship & Strategy

ReferBid is an independent technology platform facilitating peer-to-peer career coaching, resume audits, and mock technical preparation between Candidates and verified industry professionals ("Mentors"):

• Sessions include 1-on-1 resume critiques, technical roadmapping, and interview strategies.
• Mentors may submit candidate resumes through their employer's internal referral portals at their sole professional discretion for candidates whose skills and experience match the hiring bar.

3. Sealed Bidding & Escrow Protection

Mentorship opportunities are allocated through a fair, transparent sealed-bidding process:

• Candidates submit confidential sealed bids above the slot's reserve floor price.
• Selected winning candidates fund their session via Razorpay.
• Funds are held securely in platform escrow and are only disbursed to the Mentor after the 1-on-1 session is completed and verifiable proof of internal submission (or formal feedback evaluation) is provided.

4. Mentor Conduct & Employer Independence

Mentors participate on ReferBid in their individual private capacity as independent career mentors, and not as agents, representatives, or recruiters of their employers. Mentors agree never to disclose confidential interview rubrics, proprietary code, or non-public company materials.

5. Candidate Qualifications & Accurate Information

Candidates agree to submit accurate, non-fraudulent resumes and academic credentials. If a candidate is determined to have submitted falsified employment history, the mentor reserves the right to decline internal portal submission and conduct the session strictly as a career remediation audit.

6. Intellectual Property & Trademark Fair Use

All trademarks, product names, and company logos referenced on ReferBid (including Google, Microsoft, Meta, Apple, Amazon, and others) are the property of their respective owners. Their mention on ReferBid is strictly for descriptive, identification purposes to convey the professional background of mentors under nominative fair-use principles.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of these Terms or use of the platform shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.
